Set on the highest point in Vivonne Bay, Tilly’s Rest brings two beautifully crafted tiny homes together to create one surprisingly spacious stay. The property sleeps up to six guests across three queen bedrooms, with indoor and outdoor spaces carefully connected to the surrounding landscape.

Ocean views stretch east to the bay and headland. Bushland surrounds the western side. Wallabies wander through the backyard as the sun disappears behind the trees. A place to settle in, switch off, and experience Kangaroo Island at a slower pace.

Inside Tilly's Rest

Two homes, one stay.

Tilly is the main dwelling. A spotted gum deck leads through a sliding door into a full kitchen, with a bathroom and lounge on the ground floor. Storage steps rise to a full-standing catwalk between two loft bedrooms. East-facing windows look over the bay. West-facing windows look out across the canopy at sunset.

The Buddy is the second dwelling, a few steps away. A queen bedroom on the ground floor. The rest is given over to a six-metre undercover deck with a BBQ, an outdoor sofa, and a bi-fold servery window that opens straight into Tilly’s kitchen.

When the deck blinds come down and the heating lamps come on, the two homes feel like one.

Tilly‘s Rest is a really special place on Kangaroo Island. It is cozy and well designed. In the evening you can feed wallaby's in the backyard. The view up into the milky way is breathtaking and during the day you might a Koala here and there. It is only a Short Walk away from one of the most beautiful beaches. Stick your toes into the sand and cling to this perfect part of nature. Tilly‘s Rest is the Gateway to happiness. Perfect for a small family! We would love to come again!

A very nice and breezy place near the beach. It was also convenient as it is near popular sights on Kangaroo Island. Do prepack your clothes into smaller backpacks as there were some space constraints when we tried to open our luggages. Would recommend this place for anyone visiting Kangaroo Island!

We had a wonderful stay at Tilly’s! Was a great experience staying in a tiny home and Tilly’s is so thoughtfully and stylishly designed. It felt very comfortable. Especially loved the loft beds! Clarissa was a wonderful host with excellent communication and was extremely responsive to a couple of minor issues we had. We also loved the location close to little Sahara, raptor domain, quad biking and seal bay. Would definitely stay again!

Clarissa's tiny home was beautiful and in a peaceful location. It had everything you needed with a lot of extra appliances added which made it very comfortable. We loved that her home was pet friendly, with a great enclosed outdoor area attached to the tiny home suitable for our dog to sleep. We would love to come back again!
