Testimonials

Hear from our guests

My second time visiting Kangaroo Island and I could not recommend this tiny home enough. After exploring the island we found our favourite spots to be just a short drive away.

The tiny home itself was beautifully styled and well thought out. Chris and Clarissa have gone above and beyond to make their place warm and inviting. All the small touches did not go unnoticed. We even arrived to wallabies hanging out on the back lawn and had them visiting daily which was so special.

I’ll definitely be recommending to friends and family and already can’t wait to go back.
Had an absolutely lovely stay at this tiny home in Vivonne Bay. You can tell the owners have thought about doing as much as they can to make the stay extra special for their guests. Although the home is tiny, you don’t go without all the luxuries you’re used to. The beds are very comfy, and I was impressed by the sleek power points to charge your devices, as well as the bed side lamps & fan if needed. These little things make a big difference to the functionality of the space. A full size shower and generous sized bathroom is a huge plus, not to mention the towels are beautiful & soft, just what you need after a long day at the beach.

Speaking of, you are very close to the beach with clear blue waters, 2 minutes from the best fish burger on KI and we also managed to sneak up to Flinders Chase for sunrise, a short 45 minute drive and we were the only ones there to explore the place in the best light. There is also plenty of space outside the tiny home as well, including a deck with a barbecue that leads to the lawn. After sunset, we were able to sit by the fire and watch the wallabies stroll in for a feed.

If you’re looking for a unique experience that’s also comfy and inviting, this is the place. We will definitely be back again!

Do I need to bring drinking water?

The water at Tilly’s Rest is filtered rainwater. It is perfectly fine for washing up and brushing your teeth, but we recommend bringing some bottled or cask water for drinking.

Can I bring my dog?

Absolutely! We warmly welcome well-behaved pets who are comfortable sleeping on our enclosed deck, equipped with heaters and blinds for their comfort.

Please be aware that dogs are not allowed in the national parks, and we kindly ask that your furry friend not be left unattended at the property due to its incomplete fencing. The surrounding wildlife is precious to us, so depending on your planned activities, it might be worth considering whether your pet would be best suited to join you on this trip.
